College of Humanities and Social Sciences is where academic knowledge for seeking veritas and solving social problems is learned in a systematic way. Humanities is a creative way of expression that portrays the values of human nature, whereas social sciences seeks to explore and promote public values and orders for the sustainable development of communities. In the 'global era', it is greatly needed to enhance the mutual understanding between states and peoples and to promote global knowledge. The College of Humanities and Social Sciences seeks to develop programs that are optimal to teach and educate creative, professional and future oriented students who have insights to the opportunities in the fourth industrial revolution and to the human crises causing therefrom and develop themselves through adapting and challenging to the society and finally changing the society. As of 2017, there are 49 professors in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences who are devoting themselves to foster future leaders not only in academia but also in many fields of society including media, culture and industries and to serve as a driving force developing sound culture and knowledge of the society. Furthermore, the College is trying to have 'problem solving oriented global academic network' prepared and aims at world-class academic achievement by actively involving in various exchange programs with top tier universities abroad.
