Since its foundation with 70 students in 1996, the college has developed into a huge size with 680 undergraduates, 100 master degree candidates and 50 doctoral degree candidates. It now has 29 renowned domestic and foreign professors and more than a hundred visiting and adjunct professors. It has the following objectives.

1. to foster an integrated artist with expertise
This objective can be achieved with practicality as well as diversity in the curriculum which enables students to pursue their goals with confidence.

2. to foster an integrated artist with global sense
This objective can be achieved with global courses and global faculty which may produce creative and global artists.

3. to foster an integrated artist with high spirit and active leadership
This objective can be achieved with development of sociability and leadership.

4. to foster an integrated artist with creativity who can devote himself to development of culture in his community
This objective can be achieved with development of good communication ability with the local community. Each department of the college fosters professional music teams which can make a big contribution to the development of culture in the local community.
