Introduction

The division was established by merging Electronic and Applied Physics with Electronic Materials Engineering. It aims to foster engineers based on specialized programs.

Electronic Materials Engineering aims to foster professionals who understand materials of electronic products and apply theories in electronic engineering to development of new electronic materials. As electronic technology develops, the demand for the electronic industry such as semiconductor, display, battery and information and communications technology increases. As a result, electronic engineering is becoming more important. The purpose of the department is to produce professionals who specialize in electronic materials, components and systems.

Electronic and Applied Physics is the core of basic science and it aims to foster professionals based on the knowledge of physics. It enable students to be capable members in the high-tech industrial society and leaders who cope with the fourth industrial revolution. Graduates are expected to work in institute of electronics engineers or in electronics company, and enter graduate school of education to be a teacher.
