Division of Construction Environment Energy

인쇄하기
Introduction

The division deals with plan, design and construction of infrastructure for sustainable development and aims to foster professional engineers.

Civil and environment engineering refers to engineering that improves the quality of life. It deals with engineering technology that provides convenience to human beings and investigates how to protect environment. For sustainable development, it deals with building eco-friendly infrastructures such as roads, harbors, railways, subways, bridges, dams, tunnels, power plants and airports. Civil engineering is divided into five fields including structural engineering, hydraulic engineering, soil engineering, metrology and construction engineering. It has developed as a high technology field. In recent days, it extends to environment, new renewable energy and aerospace industry and contributes to internal and external construction industry. The major aims to produce professionals who lead civil engineering technology.

Environmental and Energy Engineering focuses on critical environmental problems of the day such as water, air and waste pollutions etc., and provides practical education for tomorrow's environmental problem solvers. It thus aims to foster competent environmental engineers who may lead the fields of environment and energy. In order to solve environmental pollution problems such as water, air and soil pollution, waste and noise, students learn and research on engineering approaches for the prevention of environmental pollutions. As for energy, students learn and research on such substitute energies for fossil fuels as waste, logs, agricultural by-products and sea weeds.
